Use gutta resist to draw the outline of an image on silk - it stops the flow of dye at the resist lines, allowing for complex designs, drawings, patterns or embellishments.
- Colored and clear permanent resist. Solvent thins resist and cleans tools.
- Jacquard’s traditional Gutta Resist is made from natural Gutta-percha (tree sap), which produces the finest resist available.
- Gutta Resist becomes permanent with air-drying and is intended to remain permanently on the fabric.
- Gutta is NOT water-based and can only be thinned and cleaned up with Gutta Resist Solvent.
- NOTE: When used with heavier silks, Gutta Resist may have to be thinned with Gutta Resist Solvent so it completely penetrates the fabric.
