The SE JT-RSR150P Premium Ring Stretcher, Reducer, and Enlarger allows you to adjust the size of different rings with ease. It is great for accurately and easily stretching to increase or decrease the size of different rings bands. You are able to save yourself from the hassle and time of altering the size by hand. With the stretcher (top part), you can size your a small amount quickly. With the stretcher, you can size a ring, typically a band, (not recommended for rings with prongs because it can easily open up your prongs, which makes the setting of your ring loose) quickly. If your ring has a stone, it is critical to stop and examine your stone to ensure it is compatible with this product. It is not advised for making a big change in sizing because it may make the setting insecure.Steps:Anneal your band. Pickle it. Place the ring onto the stretcher rod into the size that leaves you with a lip on the side and push down flipping the ring over to do both sides. Compare the size reading on the rod to your ring mandrel reading (all mandrel sizing is different from brand to brand so make a note of the variance if there is one). Slowly push the lever until you feel resistance, at that point very gently push the lever. Flip the ring over and repeat. Check ring size frequently on your mandrel to avoid stretching your ring out too much. Reshape if it has warping. Refinish the ring.Diameters of counter sunk dies: 0.48", 0.54", 0.63", 0.7", 0.76", 0.86", 0.93", and 1".If the ring has a stone, you must stop and study your stone to make sure it is compatible with this item. Before using the stretcher/reducer, you should anneal your ring. Not recommend for making a large change in sizing or for rings that have stones in them; as altering the size may make the setting less secure.
